Ta Prohm ~ Temple of Cambodia

December 13th, 2009 by Jeff

One of the ”Must See” temple in Siem Reap, built between late 12th to 13th centuries in a style of Bayon. The trees that have grown intertwined among the ruins has became a “marked” for Ta Prohm, eventually, the trees has also becomes a support for the building.

Beng Mealea ~ Temple of Cambodia

December 11th, 2009 by Jeff

Beng Mealea in Khmer means “lotus pond”, located 40 km east of the main group of temples at Angkor, Cambodia. Beng Mealea temple was built in middle of the 12th century in a the style of Angkor Wat.

Unrestored/collapsed galleries and towers was built of sandstone from local quarries. To completely explored the temple, we clambering through small and narrow spaces and along the roof tops.

Beng Mealea is best to visit in the afternoon with sufficient sunlight, the temple is heavily overgrown and only dappled light at best filters through the forest. We combined the visit of Beng Mealea with Kampong Phluk.

Central Business District Singapore (CBD)

December 9th, 2009 by Jeff

Last Friday, I went down to CBD area to experiment the night photography together with a group of friends. Surrounded by Canon’s fans while I am the only one capturing the scene with Nikon machine.

The Singapore River forms a central artery in Singapore’s densely packed Central Business District. The riverside is best accessed by MRT Raffles Place station (North-South/East-West Lines) and Clarke Quay station (North-East Line) stations, while the nearest station to the Marina district is City Hall station, connected by a long underground shopping mall to Suntec and the Esplanade.
